Tales of Elleria Ends Development, Hosts Final World Boss Event
Tales of Elleria, the web3 role-playing game built on the Arbitrum blockchain, has officially ended active development due to financial challenges.
Whilst the development team will no longer be adding new features, the game’s servers will remain operational for a limited time.
Players are invited to participate in a final World Boss event as the game enters its final phase.
The Final Milestone: PvP Feature
The team behind Tales of Elleria announced that they can no longer continue the game’s development due to insufficient revenue.
Despite their efforts to sustain the project, they were unable to meet the financial requirements needed to grow the game further. As a result, no new updates or expansions will be added.
The last major update, introduced in September 2024, added a player-versus-player (PvP) feature. Initially envisioned as a more complex system, the PvP mode was simplified into an auto-battler format due to budget constraints, marking the completion of the game’s planned roadmap.
The Parting Gift: Final World Boss Event
To conclude the game, a final World Boss event featuring Zorag will take place from September 5 to September 16.
Players can compete by dealing damage to the boss, with the top 200 participants earning a share of 50,000 $ARB tokens based on their performance. The rewards are distributed as follows:
- 1st Place: 5% of the pool
- 2nd Place: 4%
- 3rd Place: 3%
- 4th to 10th Place: 2% each
- 11th to 25th Place: 1.5% each
- 26th to 50th Place: 1% each
- 51st to 100th Place: 0.3% each
- 101st to 200th Place: 0.1% each
Though development has ceased, the game’s servers will remain operational for approximately six months or until funding is exhausted.
Players can continue to access the game’s existing features, trade tokens, and engage in the content that remains. In addition, the game’s Discord server will remain open in a limited capacity, allowing players to stay connected.
