NFT Marketplace OpenSea Integrates Solana On Its OS2
OpenSea, one of the world’s largest non-fungible token marketplaces by trading sales volume, has added support for the Solana blockchain network on its OS2. This historic blockchain integration now gives its OS2 users an exclusive chance to trade the most popular Solana-based meme coins, such as $PENGU and $Trump. The NFT market has pledged to add the Solana-based NFT collection trading in the coming weeks.

OpenSea Adds Support For Solana On Its OS2
In an April 15 blog post, the OpenSea team confirmed support for the Solana blockchain network on its OS2 platform. This blockchain integration appeared just a few weeks after it added support for Ronin, the blockchain network designed to host NFTs and blockchain-based gaming items. It is also optimized for fast, low-cost transactions and scalability. Ronin was created in 2021 by Sky Mavis in response to the challenges of Ethereum’s Layer 1 scalability and high transaction fees.
Solana token trading is now live on OS2 for some closed beta users & will be rolling out to more in the coming weeks.
This is a big milestone in our multi-chain journey. Solana has some of the most passionate users and builders in web3.

Launched in 2017, OpenSea is a non-fungible token market platform that allows crypto users to buy, sell, create, and trade NFTs. This platform has rapidly grown to become one of the largest NFT trading platforms, with more than three million active users and a daily trading volume of about $4.5 million as of January 2024. OpenSea is also a non-custodial platform, allowing users complete control and access to cryptocurrency wallets.
Before the lapse of 2024, the OpenSea team announced plans to build a new NFT market platform for discovering, buying, and selling NFTs. This reimagined marketplace version is called OS2. The OS2 NFT marketplace expands beyond just NFT trading to include token trading and offering enhanced features like cross-chain purchasing and aggregated marketplace listings. It’s designed to create a more unified experience for trading both NFTs and other digital assets.
OpenSea X Solana Integration
The OpenSea NFT market currently offers cross-blockchain compatibility across the Ethereum, Polygon, Klaytn, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Zora, Base, Blast, Sei, B3, Berachain, Flow, ApeChain, Soneium, and Unichain blockchain network. The NFT market has added support for Solana, an open-source blockchain network that supports smart contracts, including non-fungible tokens and a variety of decentralized applications.
The Solana integration is part of its vast strategic preparation to make itself the go-to platform for NFTs and meme coins. The NFT market platform anticipates integrating over 20 blockchain networks in its upcoming reimagined NFT marketplace. In the meantime, the OpenSea via its OS2 Beta version has started offering trading for the popular meme coins such as the $PENGU, $TRUMP, $JUP.
