Hybrid exchange GRVT integrates CoinRoutes for institutional on-chain trading

  • GRVT partners with CoinRoutes for institutional on-chain trading.
  • As part of the integration, GRVT and CoinRoutes will launch a two-phase incentive to attract big traders to the platform.
  • GRVT offers secure, fast trading with self-custody and advanced tools.

GRVT, a pioneering hybrid cryptocurrency exchange, has teamed up with CoinRoutes, a major player in crypto trading systems. This partnership opens doors for institutional traders who can now tap into advanced on-chain trading through CoinRoutes’ powerful platform.

Notably, GRVT blends the speed of centralized exchanges with the security of decentralized exchanges, and it is the first fully licensed exchange of its kind.

The demand for decentralized trading

The demand for decentralized trading is soaring. In January 2025, mainstream decentralized exchanges hit a record $562.833 billion in trading volume. That’s a 40% jump from December 2024’s $437.386 billion, according to DeFiLlama.

Institutions are driving this surge. They want secure and efficient ways to dive into decentralized finance, or DeFi.

GRVT’s hybrid approach meets this need. It offers self-custody and fast trades, making it a go-to for big players.

CoinRoutes users can now directly access GRVT

With this integration, CoinRoutes users gain direct access to GRVT. The setup lets traders analyze real-time market data and track performance. They can also execute complex strategies across different assets.

Opportunities like arbitrage and token farming are also now within reach.

GRVT goes a step further to sweeten the deal with robust API access and flexible fee structures tailored for institutions.

Hong Yea, GRVT’s CEO and co-founder, sees this as a game-changer. He believes the collaboration sets a new standard for DeFi trading since it combines GRVT’s regulated, hybrid model with CoinRoutes’ top-tier tools. This mix aims to deliver safe and efficient trading for institutions and everyday users alike.

CoinRoutes brings its own strengths to the table. CEO Ian Weisberger says institutions need more than basic trading options, and CoinRoutes provides a unified system to manage risks and trade globally. Michael Holstein, the company’s CRO, adds that their algorithms help clients boost profits with less risk and adding GRVT expands their reach, offering fresh liquidity to traders.

Two-phase incentive plan

To spark interest, GRVT and CoinRoutes are launching a two-phase incentive plan. First, new institutional users signing up via CoinRoutes get exclusive rewards. Later, high-volume traders can earn rebates based on their activity. It’s a push to bring more big traders on board.

GRVT stands out as a bridge between traditional finance and DeFi. The exchange uses smart contracts to ensure security and scalability. It aims to make trading accessible to everyone.

On the other hand, CoinRoutes powers trades across 50 venues, offering tools for everything from hedging to treasury management.

This integration comes at a key moment when institutional interest in DeFi is climbing fast and GRVT and CoinRoutes are positioning themselves to lead the charge.
