CryptoArt Sundays: Interview with Jasmine Mansbridge

Hi NFT art fans! Welcome to another round of CryptoArt Sundays. This week I want to introduce you to the amazing Jasmine Mansbridge and her super cool artworks. Jasmine creates in all kinds of mediums, including sculpture, installations, paintings, and NFTs.

She describes her works as thought-provoking and giving the viewer the chance to apply their personal storytelling, as they unpack the geometry and portals of Mansbridge’s imagined world. So let’s dive in and find out more about this talented artist and how she got into NFTs!

How did you find out about the NFT space, and what attracted you to create your own NFTs?

I made a digital animation for an exhibition I had in March 2021 and a friend in London said I should be making NFTs and it kind of went from there.

How often do you create?

I am a full time artist and so pretty much everyday.

What is your creative process?

I have not strayed too far from my roots, I am still hand drawing and painting my works, then animating them to bring them to life. This can be a time consuming process compared to other artists who are creating purely digital works as I am mixing paint etc and making corrections the old fashioned way.

I do think however that it sets my work apart from other creators in the space. I was actually making digital work before I even knew about NFTs. My first pieces incorporated augmented reality way back in 2017 so I have had an interest in how tech can merge with physical art for a long time.

Are there any CryptoArtists you would love to collaborate with?

Yes. Harry Pack, Ogi Worlds, Heli films are the first that come to mind.

What do you think the future of CryptoArt will look like?

I think we will see more and more corporations and businesses come into this space and more commercial projects. I think that fine art will continue to increase in value, especially work dated from these early times.

What are you currently working on?

I continue to push the ideas in my painted NFTs and I am also planning some pieces that will incorporate my physical sculptures. This I can’t wait to share as I feel it will take my work to the next level!

Where can collectors find your work?

On Rarible, KnownOrigin and Metaartclub.
