GetBlock has integrated Cronos (CRO) zkEVM RPC nodes, offering developers customizable and high-speed API connections. This collaboration aims to streamline dApp development with cost-efficient, secure solutions.

In a significant development for blockchain infrastructure, GetBlock has announced the integration of Cronos (CRO) zkEVM RPC nodes into its service portfolio. This move is set to enhance the toolkit available to developers working on zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machines (zkEVMs), according to Cronos Labs.

Unlocking Developer Opportunities

GetBlock, a premier Web3 infrastructure platform operational since 2019, is now supporting Cronos zkEVM through its JSON RPC and WebSockets endpoints. This integration provides developers with the ability to bypass the complexities of running and maintaining their own nodes, which is often a challenging task for many teams. Instead, developers can now leverage GetBlock’s robust infrastructure for flexible, customizable, and high-speed API connections, eliminating the need to compete for limited resources on public RPC endpoints.

The service is available under both free and paid plans, allowing developers to experiment with Cronos zkEVM’s features at no cost for up to 40,000 requests per day. This opens a pathway for resource-efficient development of decentralized applications (dApps), offering secure and fast API endpoints with minimal effort.

Setting New Standards in Blockchain-as-a-Service

GetBlock’s service suite for Cronos zkEVM includes both shared and dedicated node options. Shared nodes are offered in packages ranging from limited (starting at 5 million requests per month) to unlimited plans with durations of 3, 6, 9, and 12 months, each accompanied by discounts. For more demanding applications, teams can request dedicated nodes, ensuring exclusive access and maximizing throughput with industry-leading customizability.

Apart from Cronos zkEVM, GetBlock users have the opportunity to explore RPC endpoints across more than 50 blockchains, spanning both Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks. This extensive range includes all mainstream zkEVMs, providing a comprehensive suite of tools for blockchain developers.

Getting Started with Cronos zkEVM on GetBlock

New users eager to explore Cronos zkEVM can start by signing into GetBlock using various methods such as email, Google Account, MetaMask, or GitHub. The process is straightforward, requiring no sensitive data or credit card information.

Once registered, users can navigate to the dashboard to select Cronos zkEVM and retrieve the mainnet endpoint address for JSON RPC or WebSockets (WS) endpoints. This URL can then be integrated into the dApp codebase as a private RPC endpoint, replacing the need for public or self-hosted nodes.

For those opting for paid packages, account top-ups can be made using card or cryptocurrency. This service not only facilitates developers but also benefits regular wallet users seeking enhanced transaction privacy.

GetBlock’s integration with Cronos zkEVM aligns with the latter’s mission to expand Ethereum’s capabilities, promoting a new level of cost-efficiency, speed, and security for dApps. This collaboration underscores the potential of zero-knowledge technology in pushing the boundaries of blockchain innovation.
