LayerZero Integrates Solana into Its Cross-Chain Bridge Network

LayerZero, an interoperability protocol for cross-chain asset transfers, has integrated Solana into its network to enable seamless connectivity between Solana and a host of other blockchains.

With this integration, developers can now leverage LayerZero’s unified semantics to deploy applications natively on Solana or adapt existing applications such as DeFi protocols, NFTs, games, and more.

This simplifies the development process and facilitates the creation of cross-chain applications across multiple platforms—including rollups, Layer 1s, Layer 2s, and various non-EVM chains.

Expanding Cross-Chain Connectivity

LayerZero’s network now links Solana with seven major blockchains: Ethereum, Avalanche, Polygon, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Optimism, and Base with plans to extend Solana’s integration across its entire network of over 70 blockchains following final round of audits.

This broader integration is expected to support more complex cross-chain transactions and aims to facilitate secure and transparent communication.

Bryan Pellegrino, Co-Founder of LayerZero, stated, “Integrating Solana is incredibly important. Crypto is built to disrupt the walled gardens of traditional finance. Yet, we sometimes find ourselves creating these walls all over again, like how two of the largest blockchains, Solana and Ethereum, are not able to communicate natively with each other.”
